PAYNE, Michael D. 60, of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. He was born August 17, 1952 in Hamilton the son of James and Juanita (Collinsworth) Payne. Michael was a graduate of Taft High School and Lee College. He was employed as an accountant for Champion International for 17 years, retiring in 1994. Michael was an avid Cincinnati Reds and University of Tennessee Volunteers fan. Michael is survived by his mother, Juanita Payne of Hamilton; three sisters, Carol (Vergil) Knight of Union, Kentucky, Brenda (James) Arrowood of Greenville, South Carolina, and Jeannie Payne of Hamilton; devoted companion, Sheryl Howard and her daughter, Lyndsey, both of Hamilton; his loving dog, Trixie; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Payne.
