Norma "Penny" Rice

Penny married James Wallace Rice on August 13, 1949 in Morganfield, KY, and he passed away on July 8, 2005. Penny was a homemaker all of her life. She formerly attended the First Presbyterian Church of God in Brownsville, TX. Penny liked collecting, buying, and selling antiques. She enjoyed watching sports on television, especially any which involved Texas or Kentucky. Penny loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Jerry W. (Shelley) Rice and Michael W. (Harriet) Rice; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews. Penny was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter, Terri Yevonne; siblings, Odell Fletcher, Wayne Fletcher, Mary June Schaeffer, and Lois Bruce; and her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Community First Solutions, ATTN: Berkeley Square, 230 Ludlow Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 or to a charity of your choice. Gathering will be held from 2pm until 3pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Memorial Service will follow at 3pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Allen Stuckwisch officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
