ROBERTS Owen James age 92, resident of Heartland of Woodridge, Fairfield, Ohio for the past 12 years died Wednesday April 25, 2012. He was born on January 24, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Herschel and Ruby (Holland) Roberts. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 26, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan he married Elizabeth C. "Betty" Sippel. He was employed at Baldwin-Lima Hamilton and Cincinnati Incorporated retiring in 1982 as customer service manager. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son Michael B. (Susan) Roberts; step-granddaughter Sarah Tompkins and many other friends at Heartland of Woodridge. Funeral Services will be Saturday April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home 3950 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, with Pastor Timothy Swanson officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Remembrances may be sent to Cincinnati Association for the Blind in his memory.
