ORTOLF, Paul age 89, a longtime Hamilton, Ohio resident died Saturday March 1, 2014 at his residence in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born in Hamilton on October 23, 1924 the son of Paul R. and Minnie (Andrew) Ortolf. Mr. Ortolf served in the US Army Aircorp during WW II. On May 23, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio he married Jeanette Pater. He had worked as an electrician for General Motors, Baldwin Lima Hamilton, and as a self employed electrician, retiring in 2003. Paul was a member of the Princeton Pike church of God and the Masonic Lodge of Richmond, Indiana. Survivors include his wife Jeanette; two daughters, Darcey Ortolf of New York City, NY (Life Partner Chera Finnis) and Donna Scowden, of Sylvania, Ohio (Husband James) ; a granddaughter, Katie Scowden (Fiancée Sam Farmer). Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Scowden; and a brother, Edgar Ortolf. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. David Hargrave officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
