

Age 87 of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Berkeley Square Health Care. He was born in Hamilton on October 26, 1927 the son on Paul and Marie (Imhoff) Von Stein. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1946. On May 7, 1949at Bethel Church in Hamilton, he married Margie Ann Coate, and they were happily married over 65 years. They were high school sweethearts and married a year after Paul returned from the U.S. Army having served in Japan. He worked 35 years at Fisher Body, Hamilton, in Scheduling, retiring at age 55 when the plant closed. Paul was a very quiet, reserved, kind and loving man. He loved God and his church, First Baptist Hamilton. He enjoyed golf, boating, and water skiing. They enjoyed their condo at Indian Lake. He was a member of F&AM Hugh L. Bates Lodge # 686, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and Hamilton Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Margie; his sister, Betty Mae Von Stein; and a nephew, Charles Von Stein Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Von Stein; and sister, Violet A. Von Stein. Funeral service will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., on Monday Dec. 22nd at 1:30 PM with Rev. William C. Brantingham and Dr. Daniel Clemens officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. We extend a special thanks to Berkeley Square Health Care and Vitas Hospice for their great care of Paul. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to First Baptist Church.
