Peggy Jean Myers passed away on July 23, 2026 after a long battle with sickness. Peggy was born on February 5, 1950 in Hyden, Kentucky to James and Nora Lewis, both of whom preceded her in death. Peggy attended Hamilton City Schools and graduated from Taft High School. She worked several jobs throughout her career, but retired from Fort Hamilton Hospital in 2021 after 35 years. Peggy leaves behind her loving friend, Doug Felts; sister, Millie (Asher); two children, Sherry Jones and Tamika Sams; nine grandchildren, Colby, Tony, Jessie, Amanda, James, Luke, Christian, Barbara, and Jeffrey Jr; and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Peggy was a current member of Beatty Church of God in Monroe, Tennessee, where she had resided the past few years. Peggy was a very loving and humble person who loved her family very much, and was always there for them. She loved to travel and vacation at the lake and beach. She enjoyed fishing and boating, as well as shopping. Peggy will be missed by everyone but is now in a much better place. A Gathering will be held from 11am until 12pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton.
