April 21, 1937 – June 7, 2025
With heavy hearts but unwavering faith in God’s promises, we announce the passing of our beloved Phyllis, who entered eternal rest on June 7, 2025, at the age of 88. Though we grieve, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Phyllis was born on April 21, 1937, in Wheelwright, Kentucky, to James and Margaret (Ross) Davis. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis lived a life marked by grace, service, and steadfast faith.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Melanie Cain; her brothers, Ed Davis and Larry Davis (Brenda); her sisters, Marilyn Campbell (Joe), Carolyn Napier (Larry), and Debra Hammer (Don); her grandchildren, Dennis Cain (Heather) and Brittany Buchanan (Luke); and her great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Gabriel Cain. Her legacy of love and faith continues to shine through each of them.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Davis; her beloved husband, Dennis Parman; and her siblings, Janet, Wanda, John, Carl, Roger, and Ron.
A faithful member of Hamilton Assembly of God Church, Phyllis worshipped, served, and inspired others through her profound love for God and for people. She was a testament to Christ's love, which shone through in everything she did—from her gentle words and generous spirit to her unwavering support for anyone in need. Her life was a beautiful reflection of 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Cross Fire Church, 1940 West Elkton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, with Rev. Larry R. Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, Bible donations in Phyllis’s honor may be made to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and/or Samaritan’s Purse, in remembrance of her deep love for studying and teaching the Word of God.
We take comfort in the blessed assurance that Phyllis now rests in the arms of Jesus, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering—only peace, joy, and eternal life.
“Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
