SMITH, Rachel A. Age 95, of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Thursday, April 25, 2013. She was born in Teges, Kentucky on October 11, 1917 the daughter of the late Toulman G. and Lucy (Bishop) Allen. Rachel married Sherrod C. Smith on April 24, 1943 in Hamilton, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1978. She was employed for 20 years as a Pharmacy Attendant at Miami University retiring in 1987. Rachel is survived by two sisters, Anna Lee Rickard, Oak Ridge, TN and Kathleen Cox, Hamilton and a special friend, Carl B. Mills and many other friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Leonard, and Jesse Allen; six sisters, Ethel Bishop, Stella Allen, Minnie Allen, Grace Baker, Thelma Yeager, and Aleta Custer.
