Ray Gilford McDaniel

McDANIEL, Ray Gilford, age 86, passed away peacefully at home with his family Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was born October 14, 1937 in Hamilton, Ohio to George L. and Edna McDaniel. Ray loved his family, was considered great at being an uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, helped everyone that knew him, was retired from the State of Ohio Department of Transportation after 20 Years, active in many organizations-Washington Masonic Lodge #17 F and AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Shriners, Fraternal Order of Police #21, the Republican party, Kentucky Colonel.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Josephine McDaniel, Juanita Mays, Geraldine Carpenter; brother, Jackie Buford McDaniel.

Ray is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janis M. McDaniel; daughter, Ashley McDaniel; sons, Joel Jentelson, James McDaniel (Sandra Bryant); one grandchild. He will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 11:00am until Services at Noon at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
