Raymond C. Gates III

Raymond C. Gates III passed away Friday February 19, 2016 at the age of 71. He was born in Hamilton Ohio to the late Raymond C. and Hattie Gates. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at AK Steel retiring in 2006. He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Mulvihill) Gates, son John (Kristy) Helton, Kelly Davidson, Mike (Sarah) Greco, Brian (Melissa) Greco, grandchildren Joey, Jacob, Michael, Tyler, Kristin, Anthony, Ashley, Zachary, Seth, brothers Doug, Greg (Maggie) and Joe (Charlene), sisters Patricia Parish and Terri (Chris) Coolidge. His favorite past time was golfing with his long time friend Bubba. He was preceded in death by his parents and precious granddaughter Dakota Whitaker. The family would like to thank Dr. Paula Weisenberger and Dr. Manish Sachdeva for their compassionate care during his illness. A visitation will be held at Ivey Funeral Home 2565 Princeton Road Hamilton, Ohio 45011 on Wednesday February 24, 2016 from 11am to 2pm . Funeral service will be 2pm at the funeral home with Bryan Price officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animals Friends Society.
