Rebecca Fern Nelson (nee Ziegler), age 56, beloved daughter and sister, passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2014 at Fort Hamilton Hospital after a long illness. She leaves behind her mother, Geneva Kerby, father, Bill Ziegler, sisters Denise Devney and Sheila Poynter, brothers Guy Kerby and Jim Kerby, nephew Nathan Devney, niece Melissa Browning, and many other special family members and friends. Becky worked for many years with handicapped children and adults. She loved the people she worked with and went above and beyond to provide special care to each of them. She loved animals, and leaves behind her precious yorkie, Stormy, and will be greeted on the other side by the many other animals she loved and cared for throughout her life. She loved music and concerts, particularly of her favorite band, to which she was a devoted fan. She faced her many struggles with much courage and never lost her sense of humor. She will remain in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed. We give her to the light of God and look forward to the day that we will see her again.
