Rhonda Leah Perucca (Courter) was born on July 8, 1941 and entered heaven on September 10, 2019 at the age of 78. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and lived in Bicknell, Indiana, until August of 1970 when she moved to Oxford, Ohio. She moved to Hamilton, Ohio in June of 2002 where she resided with her daughter and grandson until she passed. Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband Steve Perucca, Jr., father Harry Virgil Courter and mother Mary Louise Perucca (Thombleson, Courter), step-father Pete Perucca, and sister Marifrances Cone (Courter). She is survived by her daughter Kelly Louise Stewart (Perucca) and grandson Ron S.A. Stewart, son Steven Douglas Perucca and son-in-law Keith Donald Sperry, Sr., sisters Anita (Holman), Ernestine (Kord) and Toni Savage (Perucca) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rhonda was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was an avid reader, puzzle-book aficionado, euchre player, and movie fan. She could play computer Solitaire, Text-Twist and Jewel Quest for hours. Her favorite music was Christmas carols, and anything sung by Elvis Presley. She worked as a telephone operator for the General Telephone Electric Company (GTE) in Oxford from 1970 until 1986. She then worked as an information operator at Miami University’s main campus in Oxford from 1986 until she retired in 2010. During her years of service at Miami, Rhonda became known as the “Voice of Miami” when calling 513-529-1809. The most important thing in her life was her family…and she loved to laugh! The family will hold a celebration of life for Rhonda on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 1224 South Central Avenue, Fairborn, OH 45324.
