Richard Pater

Rick Pater, 73 of Hamilton, passed away October 21, 2025. Rick was born March 9, 1952 in Hamilton to the late Louis and Josephine (Geier) Pater, also preceding him in death are two brothers Michael and Kenneth Pater.

Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Treava (Hoelle) Pater, three sons Scott (Lori) Pater, Jeff (Jodi) Pater, Luke (Amy) Pater. Also surviving are eight grandchildren Bethany (Garrett) Hawkins, Shelby, Gillian, Sam, Malia, Natalie, Corinne and Henry Pater; 2 great-grandchildren Charlie and Amelia, two brothers Steve (Dottie) Pater, Frank (Cindy) Pater and brother-in-law Randy (Carol) Hoelle.

Rick was a graduate of Badin High School Class of 1970 and the University of Dayton Class of 1974. He had worked at Southern Ohio Fabricators for 20 years and was an Engineering Manager at Dave Steel for 20 years.

Rick was endlessly proud of being a husband, father, grand and great-grandfather.

His family would like to thank the Ohio State Lung Transplant Team for the compassion and kindness shown to Rick.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at St. Margaret of York Catholic Church, 9499 Columbia Rd, Loveland, OH 45140, Saturday, November 8 starting at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Following Mass, Rick will be interred in Rose Hill Burial Park.
