age 75, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, December 6th, 2013 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky, August 25, 1938, the son of Floyd and Elizabeth (Kilburn) Day. Bob was the owner of Day's Sunoco, an institution he ran for over 50 years. A pillar service station, Bob loved the camaraderie of his friends who frequented the business for conversation and coffee. Bob was an avid golfer, traveling with his friends on several golf outings over the years. He loved his job, grilling out, and annual fishing trips to Canada with his sons and brothers. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marcia (Tepker) Day; sons Darrell and Mike (Chantelle) Day; daughters Peggy (Keith) Walls, Sharon (Rob) Rich, Becky (Bill) Lowe, Sandy (Steve) Baker, Karla (Eric) Chaney, Denise Goll; brother Gary (Jane) Day; sisters Jean (Emery) Muskopf, Winnie Hunt, Janet Day; Grandkids Jamie, Amber, Ashley, James, Maria, Sarah, Samantha, Joey, Matthew, Mackenzie and Micah as well as 6 great-grandkids, many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Reagan. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Elizabeth and his brothers Roger and Harold. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9th from 5-8 at the Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Avenue. A private funeral for family will be held on Tuesday with Pastor Alan Weaver officiating. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Hamilton Church of God.
