

Age 79, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home in Hamilton on November 11th 2015. She was born March 31st 1936 in Toledo, Ohio, she is preceded in death by her loving parents Helen and John Gribbin and her beloved brothers, Jimmy & Patrick Gribbin, all of Toledo Ohio. Rose Marie attended St. Ursula and studied Opera, after college she was a professional opera singer with an absolutely beautiful voice. Shortly thereafter she decided to work with those that were less fortunate and took a job with The Toledo Society of the Blind as activity director, her employment spanned from the early to late 1960s as activity director, then for Hillhaven, an elderly care facility in Toledo as activity director before moving to Hamilton Ohio in 1974 after accepting a position as activity director for a senior facility in Cincinnati. She then took a job with Busken Bakery as General Manager for 2 years before accepting a position with Mass Marketing in Fairfield where for years she was consistently one of the company’s top sales persons. She took a deserved retirement in 2000 to be with family, friends and to have more time for church activities and functions. Rose Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to give out Irish Blessings, and if you ever received one, it very well may have been given to you by Rose Marie as she was constantly giving it to friends and strangers alike, she touched literally thousands of hearts with it. Rose Marie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which she was baptized into in 1974. She was so grateful for all the dear friends and loved ones she had through the years in and out of the church and she will be missed by many. She was gifted with one of the most beautiful voices ever to be heard and when she sang her voice would get everyone’s attention. She also directed and performed in many stage productions including Saturday Warriors which ran for several years and touched the hearts of thousands. Rose Marie was also a fabulous piano player and an incredible cook. She loved the holidays and all were very special but St. Patrick’s Day was a really special day for her with her Irish heritage. Rose Marie is survived by her son Kevin Leonard, daughter Bridget (Bret) Bullinger, son Brian (Miho) Leonard, grandchildren are Sean Leonard, Corey (Nicolette) Bullinger, Tiffany (Brad) Sorensen, Brittany (Kyle) Shurtliff and Linsay (Christopher) Monical, great grandchildren are Kysen, Benton & Natasha Bullinger, Lucy, Jack & Lyla Shurtliff, Gracie, Ellie, Henry & Carter Sorensen & Sophie Monical. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Monday, November 16th, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairfield with President Wesley Foister officiating. Burial will follow at St Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 10am to 12pm at the church.
