Ross S. Rogers, Jr.

Age 83 of Hamilton passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Friday March 1, 2013. He was born in Oxford on January 24, 1930 the son of the late Ross S. and Elizabeth (Phillips) Rogers, Sr. On April 7, 1956 in Hamilton he married Joanne M. Schulte and she preceded him in death on September 9, 1978. Ross was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of Eagles #3986 where he served as past president and treasurer. He was a retired switchman for Cincinnati Bell telephone retiring in 1995. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sylvia Rogers, three children, Susan (Leonard) Schroeder, Amy (Mark) Lancaster and Thomas Rogers; four step-children, Mike Owens, Jo Ann Owens, Jim Owens and Valorie (Mike) Bond; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother and sister, Andy (Dora Mae) Rogers and Irene (James) Lancaster; good friend Bennie Lakes and uncles Bob and Bill Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Joe and John Rogers and one great grandchild. Funeral ceremony will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the services.
