
LICKLITER, Roy Ellis Age 93 of Hamilton passed away at Doverwood Village in Hamilton on April 6, 2012. He was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on March 23, 1919, son of John and Lucinda (Rhodes) Lickliter, and graduated from Hamilton High School. Roy was a veteran of World War II with the United States Army from 1942-1945. He worked for Pennsylvania Railroad, Bendisc Aviation Corporation, Sears Roebuck & Co., and Merchants Security at Ohio Casualty. On March 26, 1949, he married Margaret Simpson and she preceded him in death in 1976. Roy attended Richmond Road Baptist Church. Survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret, and siblings Walter Lickliter, Clara Lickliter Hobbs, Raymond John Lickliter, Nora Lickliter Webb, Ernest Lickliter, Delbert Lickliter, Eva Lickliter Brown, Eugene Licklider, and Thelma Lickliter Doty. Visitation will be held at 12p.m. and service at 1p.m., Monday, April 9, at Richmond Road Baptist Church, 2170 Hamilton-Richmond Road, Hamilton, Ohio. Rev. Neal Lickliter will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
