Roy Starke

Roy Starke, age 68 of Hamilton, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with his family lovingly by his side. Roy was born on October 9, 1957 in Mansfield, the son of Marge Carol (Hardin) Starke and the late Ralph Elbert Starke. He was a Regional Sales Manager for Gates Rubber Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 2019.

Roy is survived by his mother, Marge Starke; his children, Samantha (Robert) Casey and Sean Starke; his beloved granddaughter, Lydia Roberts; and his siblings, Cynthia Starke, Ron Starke, and Rod Starke. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Starke.

Roy loved his family beyond words and was the heartbeat behind their strength and success. He was his children’s biggest cheerleader in every endeavor, proudly supporting them in all they pursued, including the local business, Healthy Hideout, where he could often be found stopping by with a smile and encouragement for everyone. He didn’t know a stranger and had a way of making every person feel welcomed.

He was the very best Dad and Papa; steady, proud, protective, and endlessly loving. His presence was a gift, and he was taken far too soon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
