

Sandra Lee “Sandy” Winkler, age 77 of Hamilton passed away on February 1, 2022. She was born on February 20, 1944 in East Bernstadt, KY to Earl and Nellie (Elam) Hunt. She enjoyed traveling, watching the Reds, bowling, golfing, and spending time with her family. Every week, Sandy and her friends enjoyed lunches, card games, and movies. She retired after 41 years at Union Central Life Insurance/Ameritas. Sandy graduated from Garfield High School in 1962. Sandy and her brother, Johnny were very competitive at Putt-Putt Golf and also shared a very close bond. Sandy was known as “Aunt Sissy” by all of her nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.
She is survived by her brother, John (Paula) Hunt; her nieces, Barbi (Bobby) Cain, Becky (Michael) Jackson, Kristi (Randy) Rhodus; her great niece and nephews, Amber (Michael) Reedy, Hayden Roberts, Melanie Cain, Zach (Sammie) Rogers, Taylor (Jason) Bunger, Karlee Jackson, Ryan (Camerin) Rhodus, and Mason Rhodus; her great-great nieces and nephews, Brayden, Maizlee, Rylan, Jamerson, and Weston; her best friend of 55 years, Dale Ward and her family; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former spouse, Farrell Winkler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home 2565 Princeton Road Hamilton, OH 45013. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Rollins of Rolling Hills Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rolling Hills Baptist Church, 5742 Pleasant Ave. Fairfield, OH 45014.
