Sherma Jean Dunn

Sherma Jean Dunn (Anderson), age 86, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on May 25, 1939, to the union of William Anderson and Lena Goodin. She graduated from Harlan High School in 1957. Sherma worked for many years and eventually retired from Cincinnati Bell. In her spare time, Sherma was an avid bowler and won many trophies throughout the years. She also treasured playing cards and poker, and looked forward to her annual trips to Las Vegas with her mother and sisters. Sherma really loved spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s sports activities and attending pool parties with family and friends. Once settled in her new retirement community, Sherma enjoyed participating in activities and spending time with new friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Merritt; sisters, Willine Anderson and JoAnn Blanton.

Sherma is survived by her daughters Pamela Engel (Steven) and Vicki Kuhn; brothers, Bill Anderson (Sharon), David Merritt, and Roger Anderson (Debbie); sisters, Joyce Blakely, Janet Williams (Charles), Doris Moore, Nancy Bridewell, Judith Merritt (Pam), Barb Hensley (Benny), Linda Thomas; sister-in-law Mary Jo Merritt; grandchildren, Natalie Matthies (James), Kyle Engel (Jessica), Samantha Sullivan (Parker), and Jayson Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Margot Matthies, Rylan Engel, and Sawyer Matthies.

Sherma's family will receive friends, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Saturday, January 31, 2026 starting at 9:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 am. Following services, Sherma will be inurned in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
