Gibbs, Terrill Joseph (Joe) age 68 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2015. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 1, 1947. He was the son of Ruby O. & Elizabeth A. Gibbs. He was employed as a respiratory therapist at Mercy Hamilton for 20 yrs and then 20 years as a respiratory therapist for home health care. After retirement he worked part time for Partners in Prime delivering Meals on Wheels.

On April 12, 1986 he married Melissa Kaye Hacker and they enjoyed a wonderful life together until she preceded him in death on September 3, 2001. He then married Marica Gail (Perry) on November 17, 2007. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Ann Gibbs and his devoted wife Marica Gail; child Gabe(Karen) Gibbs; stepson Todd (Jen) Perry; grandchildren; Landon Gibbs, Jake, Mitch and Grace Perry; Brother, Mike (Kathy) Gibbs, Jon Gibbs; Sisters, Jeri (Neil) Hume, & Lisa (Ted) Davis; two aunts and one uncle, five brother in laws and three sister in laws, mother and father in law John R. and Alpha Mae Hacker, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father Ruby Gibbs.

My deepest sympathy to all those in the family. Our son was named after Joe because he was such a great guy. His love towards others was unique and his love for his family was everlasting. I admired him as a man, son, father, brother, and husband. The world is better because of men like Joe. May God comfort your hearts.

Dear Elizabeth, I shed tears with you and the rest of your family. Having lived next door to you for so long; I feel like family. I also smile through my tears because there were times when Joe and I reconnected. Our children attended Immanuel Lutheran school crossword together and we had 5 years watching our children grow during that time. I will always have fond memories of Joe, one of my lifetime friends. He always had a smile on his face and I feel an empty space in my life. Elizabeth, Jeri, Mike, Jon and Lisa you will always be in my prayers . Joe, the next time we run into each other we will be in heaven, I'll bet they will have a special section for those of us who grew up in Lindenwald; complete with a tetherball pole.
