Tommie “Ruth” Thomas, age 88 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born on April 13, 1937 in Evarts, KY, the daughter of the late Yumbert and Dora (Arnold) Poff. On August 26, 1957 in Liberty, IN, Ruth married her husband of 48 years, Wade Allen Thomas, and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2005. She had been a long-standing member of Stahlheber Baptist Church since 1968. Ruth is survived by her sons, Michael (Donna) Thomas and Mark (Lisa) Thomas; granddaughter, Stacey (Michael) Rake; great-granddaughters, Ella Rake, Audrey Rake, and Katherine Rake; brother-in-law, James Thomas; and best friend, Dorothy “Dottie” Botts. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings. A Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor John Wallen officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
