Virginia A. (Irwin) Lovins, age 80, of Hamilton, OH and New Vienna, OH passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Kettering Hospital in Kettering, OH at 3:59pm. She was born August 20, 1934 in New Vienna, OH to the late Clarence and Ethel (Sharp) Irwin. She enjoyed long walks and spending time with her dog, Bandit. She had been employed as a dispatcher for the Hamilton City Police Dept. and as a payroll specialist and Dietitian at Mercy North Hospital located previously in Hamilton, OH in her earlier years. She is survived by her children, Lorraine "Kandi" (Ulus) Patrick, Randolph (Robin) Lovins, Daniel Lovins, Larry (Terry) Hudson-Lovins, Deborah (Larry) Stathman and Darrell (Catherine) Sawyer; siblings, Clarence (Lottie) Irwin, Thelma (Dick) Scales, Betty (Dewey) Younger, Martha (Ray) Jackson and Mary (Joseph) Burns; grandchildren, Kandice Flores, Tasha Ray, Lacie Sandlin, Ulus Patrick, Zach Lovins, Aiden Lovins, Carly Lovins, Cadence Lovins, Logan Lovins, Travis Lovins and Megan Lovins; and great-grandchildren, Emilio Flores, Sergio Flores, Kristian Flores, Ignacio Flores, Neli Flores, Jahbrail Goodwin, Toshiana Goodwin, Seujahali Cottrell, Jasmina Cottrell and Jeremiah Cottrell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest C. Lovins; four children, Catherine, Andrew, George and Ernie Jr. Lovins; and two siblings, Lorraine Powell and Dorothy Spurlock. Funeral will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 31, 2014 at The Celebration of Praise Worship Center, 433 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013 with Pastor Ricky Lawwill officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12-1pm at the church.
