

Wanda Jean Parsley, age 79, of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Manor on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on January 1, 1932, the daughter of the late Charlie and Belle (Hensley) Ledford. She attended the Hamilton schools and graduated with the Hamilton High School class of 1950. On October 15, 1950, Wanda married her husband of over 22 years, Ellie Gordon Parsley, Jr., and he preceded her in death on November 3, 1972. Wanda worked in Quality Control at Beckett Paper Company for over 23 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, White Shrine and the Amaranth Club. Wanda is survived by two daughters, Gayla (Jeffrey) Tussey and Cheryl (Ralph) Hornung; four devoted grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth (fiancé Eric Spears) Hornung, Jeffrey Charles (Meagan) Tussey, Joseph Kyle Tussey and Kellie Jean Hornung; great-grandson, Josiah Tussey; and cherished friends, Sally Price, Norma Ottman, Helen Asher and Betty Herzog. The family expresses a special thank you to the staff at Schroder for all their loving care and support. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, at 12 noon on Monday, October 24, 2011, with Chaplain Lauren Marsh officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 11am-12 noon at the funeral home.
