William Rae Erkenbrecher, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on August 27, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1934 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Bailey) Erkenbrecher. William spent 5 years in the Army, attached to the Air Force in Tachikawa Japan during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Dover-OPW as a print shop supervisor for over 35 years. William was one of the early pioneers of disc golf in the area and was one of the founding members of the GCFDA. He was also one of the founders of Cabin Creek Disc Golf Course, and he enjoyed talking about winning the Doubles World Championship with his friend Robert from Bowling Green, KY. He was inducted into the Ohio Disc Golf Hall of Fame in 2012. William is survived by his son, Scott Erkenbrecher; and sister, Cathy Horn.
