

After graduating from Hamilton High School, William enlisted in the United States Navy where faithfully served for three years. After returning home worked for Champion International Paper Company, retiring after 42 years of committed service.
He and his wife were devoted long time members of Berean Baptist Church. Among his many interests were collecting knives and guns, fishing as well as woodworking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, who he adored.
Aside from his parents, William is preceded in death by his sister, Sybil Giani; and his beloved mother and father-in-law, Ruford and Vada Spurlock.
Surviving is his one and only true love and beloved wife of over 66 years, Deanna (nee: Spurlock) Farmer; his two loving children, Gregory Farmer (Kim) and Sandra Davidson (Mike); he four grandchildren, Jacqueline Brown (Matt) , Kristen Farmer (Alex), Gaige Davidson and Brenna Davidson; four great grandchildren, Joel Brown, Kyran Brown, Leland Brown, Ainslee Brown; six individuals he looked at as brothers and sisters, Linda Kilburn, Joetta Kilburn, Roger and Jean Spurlock, Lutricia Adkins and Danny Spurlock. William is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church, (6342 Hamilton Middletown Road, Middletown, Ohio 45044), with a funeral service to conclude at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Steve Botts will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
