William "Don" D. Forsythe

Age 82, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Don was born in Hamilton on September 13, 1929, the son of the late Samuel E. and Anna (Dalton) Forsythe. He received his education in the Fairfield school system. In Hamilton, Ohio, on February 21, 1948, Don married Minnie N. Minton. He was employed at Champion International Corporation in Field Support Services retiring with 39 years of service. He was a member of Millville Avenue Church of God, Washington Lodge #17 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati. Don loved gardening and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, baseball and especially the Reds. Don is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Minnie; three sons, Donald W. (Brenda) Forsythe, Martin B. (Julie) Forsythe and Stuart D. Forsythe; two grandchildren, Martin D. Forsythe and Emelie (Chris) Buchanan; two great-grandchildren, Michael Forsythe and Kelsey Buchanan; sister, Ruth (Chuck) Bishop; brother, Robert (Jean) Forsythe; Don’s beloved pet, Sadie; many nieces, nephews and other family members. Don was also preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Forsythe; and two brothers, James and Randall. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, at 11am on Monday, September 26, 2011, with Pastor Joe Clark of Millville Avenue Church of God. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home with Washington Lodge #17 F&AM and Scottish Rite services at 4pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Don’s memory to Millville Avenue Church of God, 1369 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013.
