

William L. “Bill” Winkler, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 83. He was born in Butler County, the son of the late Clarence and Pearl (Ballard) Winkler. He is survived by his loving family; wife Joyce Winkler; son Mitchell Winkler; daughter Kimberly Winkler; grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Robinson, Laura (Sean) Smith and Ben Hefner; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Glen Winkler; sisters, Geraldine Muenchenbach and Carolyn Shiplet; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Brenda Winkler; brothers, Vories and Donald Winkler; sisters, Maxine Kimble, Lorraine Thomas, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Kimble, Richard Muenchenbach, Al Thomas, Lee Shiplet, Margie Winkler, Eileen Winkler, Norma Winkler, Pete and Berneice Huff, Ralph and Leota Baldwin. Bill enjoyed golfing, hunting with his dogs and watching basketball. He was a graduate of Talawanda High School, where he was inducted into the sports Hall of Fame as a Cross Country phenomenon. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home.
