Agnes Stewart

Passed away peacefully with her loving daughter Lori by her side, after a long life, in her 97th year on Wednesday April 27, 2016. Agnes is now with husband and best friend, Alexander. Born in Manchester, England Agnes came to Canada when she was just three years old and grew up in Fort Frances, Ontario, where she met the love of her life Alexander (predeceased) while he was on leave from the R.A.F. Agnes bravely crossed the Atlantic during the war to be closer to her husband who was posted in Ireland. She was an avid baker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. Her family was her life and she was the loving mother of Robert A. Stewart (Anne-Marie) and Lori Maracle (Robert). Cherished grandmother of Mike (Sarah) and Chris Wilson, Robyn Onuma (Rex), Robert Stewart Jr. and Kathryn Stewart. Special thank-you to the staff at Shorthills Villa in Font Hill and the Welland Hospital as well as Dr. Natale Desrochers and her team at Dunnville Family Medical Centre.
