It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Aldona, our loving mother, nonna, great nonna, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend on Friday October 20, 2023 in her 86th year. She entered peacefully into eternal rest after a long and valiant battle with arthritis and heart failure.
Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Frank for 61 years. Loving mother to Laura Sanmartin (Frank) and Lisa Lattanzi (Nino). Dearly treasured nonna of Cleo (Michael), Caprice, Margot and Milo (Jenna). Adored great nonna of Aurora, Brooke and Jasper. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Nijole Anderson (Doug). She will be sadly missed by relatives in Canada, Lithuania and Italy.
She was an exceptional woman of many talents who loved dancing, gardening and was a passionate cook. She was extremely patriotic and stayed closely tied to the Lithuanian community through folk dance, scouts, work with PLV and community involvement. Aldona never had a bad thing to say about anyone, was extremely kind and she was always there to lend a helping hand. Above all, her family brought her the greatest joy and happiness.
A special thanks to Dr. Ayeni and all the staff at St. Peter’s at Chedoke for their compassionate care of our mother.
