MAHY; Alfred John: Passed away peacefully, at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, on December 1st 2021 at the age of 67. Loving father of Krystal Marie. Cherished Papa of Jacob Arthur and Logan Amos. Dear brother of Evelyn, Don, Brian, Charlie, and Harold. He will be missed by all those who ever had the chance to meet him. He always had a way to brighten even the darkest of days and make you forget, even for a second, what else was going on around you. He was an amazing friend to all and an adopted papa to more kids than he could remember most of the time, or at least pretended to. The loss on this world has been tremendous but the guidance and love he has left is invaluable. Alfred’s family will receive friends at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, on Wednesday December 8th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with service to follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Due to Covid-19, this visitation and funeral is restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, practice social distancing, as well as provide name and phone number to funeral home staff for tracing purposes. Proof of vaccination is not required. If desired, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
