Allan David Hillman

Passed from this life peacefully at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 59 years, 354 days, to Joan (nee Armstrong). Loving father to David (Cheryl), Joal, Gary (Tamar), Paul(Nancy), Peter (Esther), Daniel (Giselle), Daryl (Laura) and Cheryl (Gary). Grandpa to Dianna (Brian), Laura (Brent), Angela(Lucas), Kayla (Shawn), Krista, Emma, Rachel (Samuel), Eric (Emma), Jessica, Jared, Mark, Nicole, Amy, Justin, Joshua, Brody, Natasha, Bradley, Charlize, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Haileigh and Gavin. Great grandpa to Carson, Addison, Cole, Ella, TBA, Ava and Eliza. Survived by his sister, Jean Shelton, and sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Wayne) Erickson, Samuella Lepine, Denise Armstrong, Doreen Hillman and Margaret Hillman. Predeceased by his parents, Emma and Frank Hillman, and brothers, Charles, Keith, Bruce, Grant and Gordon. Faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Member of local 105 of the IBEW for 60 years. He will be remembered most for his love for his family, kindness, sense of right, fair play and integrity (and for the 62 vehicles owned and loved by him over his lifetime). He was always either building or planning to build something, and he could fix or make anything. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Wednesday, September 20th from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral service to take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton on Thursday, September 21th at 11am. Internment at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery to follow. Family and friends are invited to a reception in his remembrance following the internment.
