Amedeo Imbrogno

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amedeo, surrounded by his family at St. Peter’s Hospital on June 29, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Antonietta (nee Ferrante) for over 57 years. Loving father of Joseph (Shari), Luisa Spadafora (Mario) and Serge (Sandy). Cherished Nonno of Vincent, Emily, Spencer, Eugene, Carmen, Laura, Rachel, (Cassandra, Sarah and Elizabeth). Sadly missed by his sister Adalgisa Ciardullo (Michelle), brothers and sisters in-law Sestina Orrico (Ferdinand), Frank Ferrante (Teresa), as well as, many nieces, nephews, family, neighbours and friends. Amedeo was a retired employee of Stelco with over 30 years of dedicated service. Special thanks to CCAC, CBI, St. Elizabeth’s and St. Joseph’s Nursing, St. Peter’s Hospital and all nurses, personal support workers, especially his PSW Chez, who worked tirelessly for his comfort and care, as well as, Father Mark Sullivan for his spiritual guidance and support. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church (Parkdale and Queenston) on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Holy Souls Mausoleum. In memory of Amedeo, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation.
