Andrew Gierczak

Andrew left the world peacefully and surrounded by family on December 1, 2014, in his 95th year. He was the beloved husband of Franciszka for 44 years and stepfather to Witold (Joanna) Kawula and Bogna (Chris) Crenson. He was dziadek (grandfather) to Bartek (Julie), Paul and Robert and pradziadek (great-grandfather) to Leela and Emilia. He will be missed by all his loved ones and remembered as a man with faith, courage, warmth and a sense of humour. The family would like to thank Dr. Boyle and team, as well as nurses Muna, Tara and Karen at St. Joseph's Hospital for providing great care. Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL (1309 King St. E.) on Friday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be held at 8 pm. Andrew’s funeral will be at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church (8 St. Ann St.) on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
