HICKS: Andrew; It is with great sadness that we have lost Andrew Hicks, 37, of Hamilton. Andrew passed away on June 22, 2022, following a lengthy battle with COPD. Andrew was born on April 29, 1985, and was raised by his parents Moe and Cecile Gibson. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Natalie Hicks, his two sisters Tracy Duguay, April Hicks and his predeceased brother Jesse Hicks, his nieces Monica, and Jordan, and his nephew Nathan, as well as by his beloved predeceased dogs Storm and Taz. Along with numerous relatives and friends. Andrew grew up with his brother and two sisters. He took an early liking to hockey which grew into all sports. Andrew loved watching, playing and gambling over sports. His hobbies included camping, fishing, sports and the casino, spending time outdoors, and time with family and friends was what andrew enjoyed. His favorite team growing up was the Toronto Maple Leafs, and as he grew he became a Pittsburg fan, as Sidney Crosby got drafted to the Pittsburg Penguins. He enjoyed watching hockey games with his brother Jesse and his father Moe as they all rooted for their favorite teams, and would tease each other when won or lost. Andrew was a go getter, he was a hands on kind of man. He worked as a contractor before his illness took over, and he enjoyed roofing, laying floors and any job that he could do with his hands. Andrew was a caring man, and when he loved, he loved with all his heart, and was very thoughtful. He is now resting in peace with his beloved brother and two dogs, he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
