Anthony Joseph Liota

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tony in his 61st year. Peacefully with his family by his side on October 4, 2019 at the Juravinski Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret (Brown). Loving son of Rena and the late Joseph Liota. Beloved brother and brother in law of Mark (Jaci), Neil, Vivienne (Glenn), Nancy (Steven) and Kim (Steve). Adored Uncle of Alesia, Matthew, Marina, Andrea, Allison, Michael, Ann-Marie (Lindsay), Lesley (Will), Andrew (Jenna), Erik (Sarah). Special Great Uncle of Allie, Tiernan and Amelia. The family would like to thank the palliative staff, nurses and PSW’s on Wards F3 and B3 for their excellent care and compassion throughout this very difficult time. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Tony’s wishes there will be no service. Friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 12 at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. Hamilton from 1 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Those who were lucky enough to enjoy one of Tony’s famous BBQ’s and fish fry’s will always remember he was the BEST. Forever in our hearts.
