A mother's love is truly never forgotten, especially the beautiful mother I had in my life.  I was truly blessed with all of her loving and caring ways.  A year ago today, March 3rd 2010, was the day she had gone to rest. How I long to be with her like old times.  I love you, and miss you so! But I know God has taken my place now.
May He with all the angels bless you, and keep you in their loving embrace.

To my most beautiful and courageous Mother who meant the world to me.  I was blessed to have had her for 53 years of my life.  God took her from me March 3rd, 2010 and my world has not been the same since. Today marks the 5th month of her passing, and I would like to express my love and gratitude.  My mother was the kind of woman who lived for her children, grand-children and great grand-childen, and always instilled her constant love and devotion.  Many times I knew how she sacriiced for us, but to her this was just her way.

You have blessed my life in so many ways.  I will always remember your beautiful and smiling face, especially when you greeted me saying "hello my doll."  Your love shone through and through in everything you did for me, and for that, I am forever grateful.  All the special dinners, the lovely visits, enjoying your garden, watching the cooking shows together, and the funny chats we had while doing the tomato preserves.  These precious memories are all I have now, and will be truly and forever cherished.  
Missing you is so very painful, I want to call you and just hear your voice, but then I remember that I have no choice.  In those final moments, only God knew it was time, but through my tears and prayers, I found it unbearable to let you go!  How I wished I could have made time stand still.  Not seeing or hearing you now pains me so! 
A special bond we shared, as Mother and Daughter, and I thank God for each day we were able to share.  But without you in my life, it is too difficult to bear.  I know your are with God now, and will pray you will find joy and peace. 
You will always be in my heart, thoughts and prayers.  Forever you will remain my Cara Mama, so loving, and so very much loved by me.

Dear Nonna;
Tonight might be your last night spent on this earth.  You are so close, and oh how sad it is. But here, there is reason to be excited too. It has been so long since you have last seen Antonio or Frank and now the time has come to a matter of days.  Now you will be able to watch over us and the world around us and now we can pray to you.  Everything about you is perfect - you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of for you have lived the life that God wants us to.  We look up to you and are also humbled by you.  You are a very beautiful Nonna and we are proud to have had you in our lives.  May the Angels and Saints greet you in heaven.  Rest in eternal peace and joy.  Love always, Lindsay and Nathan. Dear Nick,Maria,Dalia,John   My deepest symathy to you all for the passing of your Mother ,my favorite aunt ,Zia Benina , although I didn t see her often  enough because of the distance between us , her warmth , kindness , and love  touched my heart forever. Zia left a beautiful mark in my life with many wonderfull memories of her.

It has been my great honour to be Benina's daughter-in-law for the past 25 years. She always treated me as a daughter and I loved her very much. Over the years we had many great conversations while cleaning up after her fantastic meals. It was during these times that we really bonded and that I learned about her life in Italy and about her day to day life here. I realized what an amazingly wonderful woman she was to raise 5 children who loved her so deeply. She was a great Nonna to my children. They will remember her always with loving memories of our times together. I could have never asked for a better mother-in-law for me or Nonna for my children. She was a gift to us that I will cherish forever. Benina you will live in our hearts forever.

To my most dearest and beloved Mother.

You have always been one of the most crucial parts of my life, just as is the air itself, and looking back, in childhood, the most vital.

You have been the sunshine of my life, always beaming your bright love on me while at the same time sharing and imparting to me all of life's lessons as mothers often do.  

In our last few weeks together, I told you repeatedly that I would never leave you no matter what and that you would always live within my heart.  

You were so very courageous towards the end Mom, as we both realized that Jesus was calling you to him.  Through our prayers to the Holy Spirit, to St. Ann, to The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the rosary, we found comfort and ultimately let go. 

Now, as I grieve and learn to live without your physical presence and without our many visits together, our daily phone calls, our dinners together, or your warmth and laughter, my heart aches for you and I long to hold you near and never let you go.    

I am forever changed.  

Dear Mother, you will always live within me, and in the hearts of my children who you loved as much as your very own and that you so often helped with.   You have done so much for all of your five children; words cannot express the praise and love we have for you.
