ALLAN, Beverley Agnus (nee Pelissier) Surrounded by her family Bev passed away peacefully at The General Hospital on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Bev was born on December 10th, 1933 in Winnepeg, Manitoba and moved to Hamilton as a child where she attended Cathedral Girls school. She later joined the Canadian Air Force where she met Jim Allan, her husband of 58 years. Stationed together in Senneterre Que., they married and spent the next 20 years living on Bases across Europe and Canada. Wonderful mother to Steve, Sherri (Gary) and Michele (Dan). Much loved grandma to Kayla, Josh and Trevor. Survived by her loving brother Bud (Val) and her sisters Sue (Jim) and Jeanne (Doug). Bev worked many years for Burke Marketing Research and volunteered at Chedoke Hospital after her retirement. A special thank you to the wonderful care she has received in the Willowgrove ward at St. Josephs Villa over the past year. Thank you to the staff in ICU at The General Hospital for their compassion during this difficult time. Bev will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bev’s life will take place at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E., on Saturday, December 1st at 1 pm in the chapel. A reception to follow at the funeral home. If so desired, donations in memory of Bev can be made to the Alzheimers Society.
