Bob Kammermayer

August 13, 1943 – October 31, 2010

After a courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family. Bob will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 17 years, Janet (nee, Holloway). Bob is survived by his first wife Theresa Lashmar and their four sons, Michael (Laurie), David, Paul, and Stephen. He will be missed by his sisters, Gerrie, Jean, Margaret and brother, Ed (Elaine) as well as his grandchildren Rebecca and Sarah, nephews and nieces, extended family and many friends. Bob loved life, retiring from the Research Department at Dofasco in 2000 to enjoy travel, golf, bridge, bowling, and gardening. He was a loving husband, proud father, strong brother and perfect friend. The family thanks all those involved with Bob’s care, including the Niagara West Palliative Care Team, CCAC, St. Elizabeth’s Health Care, Para Med, Bayshore, Community Care Rehab, and the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Special thanks to Dr. P. Cano, Dr. H. Hirte, Dr. A. Whitton, Dr. D. Marshall as well as E. Travis (ParaMed), P. Lawrence (CCAC), N. Linok (Community Rehab), D. Tice and the medical team at ParaMed. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E., Hamilton, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Visitation will continue at PEOPLE’S CHURCH, 510 Mohawk Road W., Hamilton, on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Bob’s memory to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or Children’s Wish Foundation.
