Doting Poppa to Val’s sweet grandchildren, Olive and Clementine and stepfather to Val’s daughters, Kerry Casarin (Mike) and Morgan Klym. Warm, funny brother to Elaine Cordner (Bill), Mike Rinehart (Kim), and Dianne Rinehart. Uncle to Denise Roberts, David Cordner (Linda Li), Jeffrey Rinehart, and Amber Murdoch (Greg).
Great-uncle (in every meaning of the word) to Jonathan Roberts (Gagan Grewal), Lauren Roberts, Logan Cordner and Liam Cordner. Best friend to Dick Marsh (Candy). Pre-deceased by his parents Evelyn Rinehart (Darlington, England) and Norman Rinehart (Hamilton).
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Stacy de Berner, the good Samaritan who held Brent’s hand after the collision until the ambulance came and then honoured his spirit with a smudging ceremony.
Brent worked hard as a real estate agent and appraiser and devoted his time tirelessly to the industry as a former director of the Hamilton-Burlington & District Real Estate Board. When he was chairman of the board's United Way committee, donations increased by 100 per cent.
He was also an amazing photographer, passionate about movies, an avid gardener, and a voracious reader of local and world affairs.
But most of all, he loved, in earlier years, hosting his large extended family to Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinners where his table groaned with a heavy laden of wonderful, delicious, home-cooked, hearty meals.
Brent, you will be so missed by all your family and friends. Those who would like to attend a Celebration of Life service for Brent can do so on his birthday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cause that is important to your heart. Brent would love that.
