Carol Lynne Meek

Carol is predeceased by her parents, Muriel and Ivan Meek, her brothers, Fred and Greg Meek and her love, partner and best friend Russ Fletcher. Loving sister to Pam (Jimmy) Trenholm, sister-in-law to Sue Meek, Mary (Joe) Morelli and Kathy (Dave-deceased) Kelly. She will be missed so very much by her children, Wendy (John) Cahill, Michael (Teresa) Higenell, Beth (Dave) Couchman, Becky (Bruce) Cooper, her grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia), Hayley (Peter), Kristopher, Jarrett, Colleen, Monica (Matthew), Corinna and her great grandson Theo. She will also be fondly remembered by step-children Teresa Fletcher, Kathryn Fletcher and Nicole (Ryan) McNeil and their families.

Carol was so very proud of her whole family and talking about them or relaying a story they had shared with her always brought a smile to her face. Even though she is physically gone she is here always in our hearts and supporting us through whatever it is we are doing.

Carol was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and with the fellowship, friends and support she lived to appreciate the good in her life and was able to spread that love and support she received to others she met along her journey. She lived her life with integrity and the ability to be honest with herself and anyone she was talking with. Her listening ear and true friendship that came with it will be missed by many.

Carol is now at peace and we are certain she has the best seat in the house to watch her much loved Toronto Blue Jays! We know she will be cheering them on and if you are watching a game and a great play happens you may just hear her cheering too. We know she will be watching her favourite bowler, Jarrett, whispering in his ear, nice and smooth now and good one! Carol is at rest and with Russ and the family and friends that have gone before her, we will all miss her and will smile as we recall the many memories we have.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 12th, 1:00pm – 4:00pm at 86 Hester Street (Unifor 5555), Hamilton Ontario.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
