Claire is my oldest sibling who was in England when I was growing up and whom I came to know and love as an adult and after she had moved to Canada. She was perhaps the most beautiful person I’ve known. I will treasure the memories I have of her from my visits to her home and from those she made to Jamaica over the years. It is hard to accept that I will never see her or be able to talk to her again.
Love to dear Jos, Debbie, Lorna and her grandchildren. I pray that you’ll find comfort in the knowledge that she’ll always be with you. May her soul Rest In Peace.

We are cousins on the Gordon side of the family from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica 🇯🇲 I remember Aunt Clair as a child when she visited my Aunt Beretha Gordon who resided in South St. Elizabeth, Ridge. She was a kind and lovely lady. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family 🙏🏼💕🎶

I am so sad about Claire’s passing. She and Jos treated me like a daughter since Deb and I became good friends when we were 8 years old. I spent more time at their house than my own and I will never forget all the kindness I was shown through more than 4 decades. Claire is now watching over Jos, Deb, Alexa, Lorna and the rest of the Arquhard and Maradin families. All the best to you in this very sad time.

I send my sympathetic thoughts for your family on Claire's death. I knew Claire through her faithful attendance at St. Stephen-on-the-Mount Anglican Church. I have fond memories of Claire and her enthusiastic participation in various projects at the church, particularly with her joining other ladies in giving the church a good "spring cleanup" just before Easter each year. (It wasn't the most popular volunteer job ). Through Claire I also came to know her sister-in-law, Joyce Melhado, and so I extend my sympathy to her as well.
