Beloved wife to Ben, Claudette's life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and adventure. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Michelle, and her bonus daughters Lisa, Kim, and Stephanie. Her gentle spirit and loving heart made her an adoring grandmother to Alyssia, who will cherish the memories of her grandmother's kindness and wisdom. As a devoted sister to Romeo Marchand, Claudette was a treasured member of her family. She will also be fondly remembered by her godchild, Paige.
Throughout her life, Claudette was a pillar of strength and dedication. Her remarkable career spanned two decades at Firestone in the personnel department as well as her work at St. Joseph's Healthcare . Her compassion and generosity extended beyond her professional life, as she and her husband Ben were foster parents for 25 years with the Catholic Children's Aid. Her commitment to this noble work was matched only by her passion for lifelong learning, whether it was mastering Spanish or exploring new horizons through documentaries and current events.
Claudette was known for her hospitality and made sure everyone felt welcomed in her home. She loved children and making them feel special. She was well known for giving out treats and presents.
She had a special affinity for Texas winters, where she would escape to bask in the warmth and sunshine.
