Dan is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen (nee Mattiuz). He was the cherished father of Adam (Maddie) and Taylor (Nathean), and the proud grandpa of Maveryk who was his pride and joy and step-grandpa of Tyeson. Dan was predeceased by his parents, James and May Farnsworth. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis.
Dan will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law, Carlie Mattiuz (the late Imerio Mattiuz), as well as his sisters and brothers-in-law: JoAnne Bonaventura (late Fernando) and her partner, Joe Comparone; Carl and Dina Cino; and his nieces and nephews: Brad (Melissa), Mike, Nick (Laura), and his great-nephews, Joseph and Paul. He will also be fondly remembered by many friends and neighbours.
Dan’s career showed his ability to adapt and take on new challenges. He started in the hospital kitchen, then worked at Firestone. He learned CNC machine operation and spent the last 15 years at Tim Hortons. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leaf’s, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and NASCAR. The family is deeply grateful to the Transplant Team at the University Hospital in London for their care and support.
