Daniel Edwin Skuse

Born on September 24, 1955, Danny leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Danny was the much-loved and devoted husband of Chris for 49 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and friendship. He was a loving and dedicated father to Rebecca & Ryan, Kaitlyn & Mike, and Andi & Jesse, and the proudest Grumpy of Samantha, Aurora, Gabriel, Mikey, Trent, and Parker, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

He was the beloved eldest son of the late Kenneth and Josephine Skuse and dear son-in-law of the late Doreen Adams. Danny was predeceased by his brother David (Linda) and leaves behind his siblings Darrell (Diane), Denise (Gary), and Doug (Holly).

Danny shared a special lifelong bond with his late brother-in-law and best friend, Bernard Adams (Ann). He will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews: Teresa (Andrew), Erin, Ross, Amanda, Stewart, Nicole, Daryl, Daniel, Dalton, and Dylan, as well as his great-niece Zaina.

Danny dedicated over 30 years of service to Stelco Hamilton, working in the Byproducts Coke Ovens Department from 1978 until his retirement in 2009 as a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer. Beyond his career at Stelco, Danny and his beloved wife Chris proudly owned and operated Our Place Ceramics together for more than 35 years, creating not only a business but a welcoming place filled with creativity, friendship, and community.

Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with cremation to follow.
