David Malcolm Ford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, Father, and grandfather. David Ford, who passed away suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by family on September 29th at the age of 72.

Devoted husband to Patricia, proud father to Karen (Aug), Elaine (Ian) and Lynn. Grandpa to Marcus and Naya, and brother to seven siblings in Scotland.

Born on June 29th in Glasgow, Scotland to Phyllis and George. He later married and immigrated to Canada where he began working as a millwright/machinist at Dofasco for 30 plus years.

Outside of work he enjoyed traveling with family, going for walks, watching Rangers and Scotland play, dinners with friends, spending time with his grandkids and fixing anything and everything for everyone; he truly enjoyed doing it.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th from 2:00 to 4 :00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East Hamilton, Ontario.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Powerhouse in Stoney Creek for family and friends to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SPCA or McMaster Children's Hospital.

We know you're always with us watching us while enjoying your cup of tea and a wee biscuit.
