She was born in Tillsonburg, ON on November 14, 1954, where she spent many summers, as most teenagers at that time did, working on a tobacco farm. During her childhood and teenage years, Debbie was very artistic and loved to draw. She also became an accomplished pianist and obtained her certificate to teach.
In her early 20's, Debbie moved to Hamilton. It was there that she briefly ran a family business as well as started and raised her family. She later spent many years working at Metro (King and Rosedale) and in her retirement years, loved being able to spend more time doting on her two grandchildren, who were the loves of her life.
Debbie will be remembered for her strength and fighting spirit, as well as her love of gardening, suntanning, crosswords, reading, music, Toronto Maple Leafs, and, of course, her impeccable cooking skills. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Alexander Kromplak (1970) and Mary (nee Goethals) Kromplak (1987). She is survived by her children, Lauren, Jessica and Michael; grandchildren, Christian and Eliana; sister, Christine; partner, Dave; and her extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm and a funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7.
