Denis Mongrain

Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 in his 70th year. Loving husband of Carole. Cherished father of Claude Dubien (Heather), Ronald Mongrain (Susan), Donald Mongrain (Robyn), Nancy Courchesne (Marty) and Claude Courchesne. Beloved grandfather of Rikki-Lynn Dubien (Evan), Brett Dubien, Jared Mongrain, Sean Sabourin and Alex Sabourin. Predeceased by father Roger Mongrain, brother Guy Mongrain brother-in-law Guy Boulard and sister-in-law Trish Mongrain. Denis is survived by his mother Arzélia Mongrain, sisters Lina Boulard, Micheline Rancourt (Richard) and Ginette Desantis and brothers Yvon Mongrain (Louiselle), Gilles Mongrain (Bertha), Michel Mongrain and Normand Mongrain (Sue), sister-in-law Micheline Mongrain and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks is extended to Richard and Micheline Rancourt for their help, nurses Rachel and Anne from Bayshore Health Care, Emmanuel House staff, and all of the Doctors, nurses PSW’s and volunteers involved with Denis’s care over the years. Family and friends are welcome to Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, for visitation on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Chapel service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m with visitation two hours prior.
