Dennis William Clewley

Peacefully at Maplecrest Village, Grimsby, on Sunday, April 12, 2015 in his 98th year. Dear father of Brian Clewley, Gary Clewley, Kenneth Clewley (Eileen) and Sharon Kovach (Michael). Wonderful grandfather of Kathryn, Rachel, Bronwen, Alice, Blythe, Isabelle, Declan, Natalie, Leanndra, Olivia, Christopher, Wesley and Jaclyn. Cherished great-grandfather of Harper and Jacob. Loved brother of Berta Cowan and June Martin and brother-in-law of Florence Clewley. Predeceased by brothers Arthur Clewley and Victor (Harry) Clewley and brothers-in-law Richard Cowan and John Martin. Dennis was a proud veteran, serving overseas in the Canadian Army in WWII. Dennis loved travelling the world and visited everywhere from Victoria to China. He read the paper everyday and would discuss the latest news with any visitor that came by. Visitation will be held at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton 905-528-6303, (east of Sanford Ave.) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Celebration of Dennis’ life will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel, on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home and then an urn interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton.
