Donna May Carr

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna May Carr, who died peacefully at St. Joseph's Healthcare on January 16, 2026, at the age of 79.

Donna was the beloved wife of Raymond Carr; loving mother to Randy Carr and Jennifer Williams (Dave) and a proud and devoted grandmother to Owen and Chloe. She was a dear sister to Rose Van Every (Don) and Gary Thomson (Terry), and was predeceased by her brother Ron Thomson. Donna will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, who all adored her, as well as by her many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Healthcare, with special thanks to the Nephrology Care Unit, for their compassion and dedicated care.

A celebration of life will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E., Hamilton, on Saturday January 31st from 12 - 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
